Zodiac Allstars Invitational Competition – Sunday 9th March 2025
Zodiac Gymnastics Club, the Arc, Weston Drive, Caterham, CR3 5XY
Competition will be about 45mins, gymnasts can leave as soon as they
have finished. Don’t forget to collect the medals.
Format: This is a ‘medal per piece’ compulsory routine competition. Your
gymnast will begin on vault and compete. They will then have a sticker (bronze,
silver or gold) added to their certificate by the judge, based on their execution
value. As soon as the gymnast has completed vault they will move onto the next
piece, rather than waiting for everyone (this is to reduce the length of time the
gymnasts are sitting around). At the end of their competition they will receive a
medal for each piece, to match the stickers on their certificate.
Spectators: We don’t have much space for spectators, so they will only be able
to watch their own gymnast. This may be standing or seated. For this reason we
will only be charging £1 per person for door entry. We can take cash or do a
contactless card payment for this.
Additional information: Gymnasts will register in the corridor outside the gym,
they will then go down to the general warm up area. From the warm up they will
go into the gym for their competition, small groups of gymnasts at a time.
Parents will then be given entry. We will also have coaches around in the warm up
area and helping out throughout the competition.
Rules:
Skills to be performed in the same order of the routine list
Gymnast to be in Leotard, shorts are optional
Hair fully tied back
No jewellery, this includes studs (unless gymnasts have just had them pierced
then they can tape over, as per BG policy)
We would recommend having 2 coaches. Lead coach needs to be a Level 2 WAG
Qualification. Levels of additional coaches are at the discretion of the clubs
entering, following their own risk assessment of safeguarding, the needs of their
gymnasts and the skills being competed.

Results:
London GfA Floor & Vault April 2023
Some of our advanced gymnasts took part in the London Gymnastics Floor and Vault competition on 22nd & 23rd April 2023.
This was our first competition post covid, so it was a new experience for most of these gymnasts.
They all performed well and enjoyed showing their routines to an audience.
Avondale won two bronze medals so credit to Matilda James and Amelia Jin.
Well done to ALL the gymnasts that participated and a big thank you to their coaches.
Our next competition is on Sunday 25th June 2023
Good Luck to all the Avondale gymnasts who will be taking part.
